Brad Williams is Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Recruitment Specialist.
Brad is entering his 17th college season of coaching in 2019 and third season at SWOCC. In the 2018 season, Brad led SWOCC to its first NWAC Southern Region Championship. The team finished with a 10-1-2 season and made it to the quarter-finals of the NWAC tournament for the first time in school history.
Prior to his time at SWOCC, Brad was an Assistant Coach at Feather River College for the men’s and women’s programs. In 2015 and 2016 Brad took the lead coaching role for the men’s team. FRC’s men reached the Elite 8 in the 2015 playoffs and the team was selected for the CCCAA Scholar-Athlete award for academic and athletic excellence. In 2016, he guided the team to an undefeated season of 16-0-4, winning the Golden Valley Conference and remaining unbeaten until eventually losing in double overtime in the Elite 8 round of the playoffs. His 2016 FRC team won the CCCAA Scholar-Athlete award for the second year in a row. From 2011-2013, Brad was the Head Coach of Napa Valley College’s women’s soccer program. In 2011 NVC was undefeated in conference play, reaching the CCCAA playoffs in the inaugural women’s soccer season. Brad has also worked as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s programs at NCAA Division II CSU Chico and NCAA Division I CSU Bakersfield. Brad has also worked as a youth coach for various clubs throughout California.
Brad played at NCAA Division I Saint Francis University (PA) where he was a starting goalkeeper and set program records for single-season shutouts (8) and career shutouts (17). He also holds records for Goals Against Average (.76) and Save percentage (.795). At SFU, he helped make program history, reaching the NEC Championship match for the first time in 2006 and again in 2007. Brad also played at TeamBath FC in England and in the USL’s PDL, for the San Jose Frogs and San Francisco Seals.
Brad has earned his Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine. He also holds a B.S. in Marketing from Saint Francis University and an H.N.D. in Coach Education and Sport Performance from the University of Bath (England), and. Brad has earned his NSCAA Premier Diploma and has been a coaching instructor for the NSCAA.
