The South Coast All-Stars is sponsored by Bay Area Sportsman's Association (BASA) and named after the late Mike "Big Mike" Helfrich who was a huge local sports fan. Southwestern Oregon hosts this annual event in March each year after OSAA basketball is completed. The local high schools involved are: Marshfield, North Bend, Coquille, Myrtle Point, Reedsport, Powers, Gold Beach, Brookings Harbor, Pacific and Bandon. Referees, coaches, radio and other game management staff volunteer to make this event possible. ALL proceeds from the event go back into the "BIG MIKE" account to pay for shooting shirts each year and to provide new uniforms when possible. This annual event began in 2013. FLIER 2026
