Born and raised in Texas, Coach Jerry has been in the water since he was eight years old, starting in summer league and progressing through USA club swimming. He competed at the collegiate level at SWOCC, St. Leo University, and Barry University, where he was an A-finalist at NJCAA Nationals and swam as a Division II athlete in the Sunshine State Conference. He graduated in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Upon graduation he has found his way back to the pool finding coaching as a new passion. Most recently, he led a summer league team in Montana this past summer and before that worked with club programs in Texas and Florida and even coached internationally in Australia. He loves coaching as he genuinely enjoys giving back to the sport and helping young swimmers grow.
He is especially excited about the opportunity to return to SWOCC and give back to the program that helped shape him. “Supporting my former team as an alum would be a dream come true. The idea of fostering a strong team culture and close-knit community—which is what drew me to the sport in the first place—is something that genuinely excites me and gives me energy.”
Coach Jerry is a USA Swimming certified coach and will serve as the assistant swim coach and assistant strength and conditioning coach.
