Heather Weber

Heather Weber enters her third season as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC).

Coach Weber began her coaching career, in 2011, following a successful college playing career for the Lakers from 2009-2011. She was an assistant coach for the Lakers from 2011-2012 and 2015-17. Coach Weber is a proud alum who played, and began her coaching career at SWOCC, for Dr. Mike Herbert.

Coach Weber is originally from Sutherlin, Oregon. She is a 2009 graduate of Sutherlin High School, where she was starting point guard for the school’s first ever Girls Basketball State Championship in 2008. During her senior year, she helped lead the Bulldogs to a 26-1 record. From 2012-2015 Coach Weber was the 8th Grade Girls basketball coach in Sutherlin while also assisting with the Varsity team that went on to win four consecutive state championships.

She has a passion for helping students achieve their goals and has been able to assist many students and student-athletes while working in the Admissions Department at SWOCC since 2021. Coach Weber takes a lot of pride in her teams’ academic success, which resulted in a team GPA of 3.49 and 4th place on the WBCA Top 25 Honor Roll for two-year colleges in the 23-24 season. 

Coach Weber earned her B.S. degree in Communication Studies from Southern Oregon University, and her Associate of Science Degree from Southwestern Oregon Community College.

Coach Weber enjoys living on the Oregon Coast. She is active in the summer directing SWOCC Basketball Camps and the Ballin’ In The Bay Girls Basketball Showcase.
